Oven Baked Ribs

This easy oven-baked rib recipe is a flavorful weeknight meal. Our pork and chicken rub creates a fun smoky chili flavor in the ribs. Pair that with our homemade barbeque sauce and you have a delicious dinner.

Ribs are a fun dinner recipe. They can be pork, beef, venison, or bison. You can grill, smoke, slow cook, instant pot, or bake them. They are fun when you eat them with a dry rub seasoning on them or with your favorite BBQ sauce. There are so many fun things you can do with ribs to create a tasty weeknight meal. 

Our oven-baked rib recipe creates tender and delicious ribs. Our new pork and chicken rub adds a fun smoky chili flavor to these ribs. Caramelize some of our tasty homemade barbecue sauce and you have a flavorful meal. They are great paired with a variety of sides including our parmesan-crusted potatoes or chili cheese cauliflower. There are many different possibilities with this fun and easy rib recipe. Plus you can cook this rib recipe year round because you don’t need to fire up a grill or smoker and can cook it right in your oven. If you want to use a grill or a smoker you can just adapt the recipe to your liking. It is a very customizable recipe to enjoy.

How to Prepare the Ribs 

Take a rack of pork ribs and make sure the membrane on the back is peeled off. 

Coat each side generously with Chugwater Chili Pork and Chicken Rub. You can use as much or as little as you wish for more flavor use more of the pork and chicken rub.

Wrap the ribs in foil. 

Note: If you want the meat to absorb more flavor from the seasoning you can season the ribs the night before you cook them. Simply coat each side in the seasoning then place in the refrigerator overnight. 

Baking Ribs in the Oven 

Set the foil-wrapped ribs in the oven at 275 degrees for about 2 ½ to 3 ½ hours or until the ribs are cooked through and the meat is tender.

Pull from the oven unwrap and generously baste with barbeque sauce. We like to use our homemade barbecue sauce to give it an extra smoky chili flavor.

Bake unwrapped on broil until the sauce has caramelized on top of the ribs. 

How to Serve Oven Baked Ribs 

This easy oven-baked rib recipe is a flavorful treat that can be served any time of the year. It also goes with various side dishes like pasta salads, roasted potatoes, baked beans, and much more. You can even adapt this recipe to smoke and cook these ribs on the grill or smoker instead of in the oven. They also pair really well with our homemade barbecue sauce recipe.
