Homemade Barbecue Sauce

This homemade barbeque sauce is an easy sauce to add to your favorite meats. Our pork and chicken rub seasoning adds a fun smoky chili flavor to this sauce. It will become a new favorite barbecue sauce for your grilling adventures.

Most barbecue sauces consist of a few basic ingredients including tomato sauce or ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, spices, and seasonings. It is a pretty simple formula for creating a fun and tasty sauce. 

Our homemade barbecue sauce recipe is an easy-to-make recipe using our smoky chili-flavored pork and chicken rub seasoning. It only requires a few ingredients and takes less than an hour to make. How to Make Homemade Barbeque Sauce 

In a medium saucepan combine 1 ½ cups tomato ketchup, ¼ cup apple cider vinegar, ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce, ¾ cup light brown sugar, ½ cup water, and 3 ½ tablespoons Chugwater Chili Pork and Chicken Rub

Bring to a boil while stirring to make sure it does not burn. Then reduce the heat to a simmer. 

Simmer until the sauce has thickened. This can be about 30 minutes. 

Let the sauce cool and store in a jar for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.

Serving Homemade Barbecue Sauce 

This homemade barbecue sauce is to easy to make plus you can store it for up to 2 weeks to use on your BBQ creations. It can also be a tasty dipping sauce. Baste your ribs with it, grilled chicken, pork chops, grilled shrimp, and so much more. Use it as a wing sauce and toss your bone-in or boneless wings with it. Dunk your fries in it. There are an endless amount of possibilities for using this tasty sauce.
