Making Taco Soup
Cooking Up the Ground Beef
In a medium pot, brown 1 pound of ground beef (you could also do ground turkey or venison if you prefer), then add in ¼ cup of diced onion and cook 5 minutes until onion starts to soften.
Season the ground beef with 3 tablespoons of Chugwater Chili Seasoningand 1 packet of Ranch Seasoning. (Optional: If you want an extra cumin flavor add in 1 teaspoon of cumin in with the meat too.) Stir together until meat is seasoned.
Adding in the Other Ingredients
Now it is time to add in your other ingredients. Add in a 15 ounce can of pinto beans, a 15 ounce can of kidney beans, a 15 ounce can of black beans, a 15 ounce can of whole kernel corn, 1 cup of water, 2- 15 ounce cans of stewed tomatoes (if you do not want large chunks you can dice the stewed tomatoes to make smaller pieces), and 3/4 cup of salsa. You do not need to drain the cans of beans, corn, or tomatoes.
Let the taco soup for around 30 minutes. Now you are ready to serve your taco soup.
Serving Taco Soup
Now that you have created this easy and delicious taco soup it is time to enjoy it. This taco soup can be served with crushed tortilla chips, diced onion, chopped cilantro, shredded cheese, or sour cream on top. You can even add a dollop of our Chugwater Chili Dip. Slow Cooker Taco Soup Option
