How to Make the Cheesy Green Chile Sausage Ball Dough
In a large mixing bowl combine 1 pound sausage, 4 ounces green chilies, 1 ½ cups Bisquick™, 2 cups shredded Monterey cheese, and 2 rounded tablespoons Chugwater Chili Green Chili Seasoning.
Mix until ingredients become a dough. You can do this by mixing with a spatula, your hands, or an electric mixer with a dough attachment.
Make sure all ingredients are blended well.
Optional: If you want a cheesier sausage ball you can add 8 ounces of softened cream cheese to the recipe.
Making the Sausage Balls
Take the sausage dough and roll it into about 1-inch-sized balls. You can make these sausage balls in whatever size you wish. If they are larger they will take longer to cook.
Place on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray or lined with parchment or foil. This is nice to help with clean-up.
