Cooking and Seasoning Ground Bison Meat
In a large skillet brown up 1 pound ground bison.
Add in the diced onion and cook until onion is translucent.
Season with the 2 tablespoons of Chugwater Chili Seasoning. If you like it spicier you can use the Chugwater Chili Hot Chili Seasoning. Stir until meat is coated in the chili seasoning.
Adding in the Vegetables and Beans
Add in 15 ounces black beans that are drained, 15 ounces diced tomatoes with green chilies, ¾ cup salsa, and 1 diced bell pepper. If you want more sauce in the bake you can always add in ½ a can of tomato sauce.
Adding in the Pasta
Stir in the 6 ounces cooked rotini noodles. If you prefer whole grain noodles or gluten free you can use them in this recipe or if you prefer a different shape such as penne, bowtie or elbow noodles you can also use those as well.
Baking the Taco Pasta Bake
Place in a baking dish then bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Add ½ cup shredded cheese either fiesta blend or cheddar and bake for 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
