How to Make Easy Sloppy Joes
Now it is time to make this easy Sloppy Joe recipe. In a medium skillet brown 2 lbs of ground hamburger. If you like to use turkey burger or venison burger you can use it in this recipe as a substitute for a beef burger.
After the hamburger is browned add in ½ diced yellow onion. Cook until onion becomes soft. This helps add the flavor of the onion with the meat to season it.
Now add in 3 Tbs Chugwater Chili Seasoning (if you prefer less seasoning you can decrease the amount to 2 ½ to 2 Tbs of Chugwater Chili Seasoning or for more of a chili flavor add in extra chili seasoning) and stir into the meat to season it.
Now it is time to create the Sloppy Joe sauce by adding in a 15 oz tomato sauce, ½ cup ketchup, 1 Tsp yellow mustard, 2 Tbs brown sugar, 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce, 1/3 cup water and mixing with the seasoned meat. You can salt and pepper to taste if you prefer.
Let the Sloppy Joe filling simmer for 15- 20 minutes and then you are ready to serve them.
