In a medium skillet brown 1 pound of ground beef. (You can also use ground turkey, chicken, or venison.)
Add in ¼ of an onion that has been diced and cook until translucent. Drain and extra grease.
Season the browned beef with 2 tablespoons of Chugwater Chili Seasoning or if you like it spicier our Chugwater Chili Hot Chili Seasoning.
Assembling the Nachos to Bake
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil that has been sprayed with cooking spray. This helps with cleanup and prevents the shredded cheese and other toppings from sticking to the baking sheet.
Add an even layer of tortilla chips. You can use your favorite tortilla chip brand or homemade chips if you like.
Next, add some shredded cheese. As for how much that is up to you just make sure that it is evenly spread out across the tortilla chips.
