Mixing the Jalapeno Popper Dip Together
In a medium bowl you will want to mix together 8 ounces of cream cheese (make sure if you are using a brick to let it sit out to soften or you can use whipped cream cheese), 1 cup sour cream, ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese, ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese, 4 large jalapenos diced (if you want to make this recipe milder you can use less jalapenos, if you want it spicier use more), ¼ onion diced, 6 slices bacon that has been cooked and chopped, and 2 tablespoons Chugwater Chili Dip & Dressing Mix.
Blend until all ingredients are mixed together. If you use a brick of cream cheese and have small clumps don’t worry as it cooks it will blend into the mixture.
Note: If you do not want to use fresh jalapenos you can use a small can of diced jalapenos instead.
Baking the Jalapeno Popper Dip
Place the cream cheese blend in a 9in by 9in baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until the middle gets hot.
Add A Cheesy Topping to The Dip
If you want a cheesy topping add the remaining ¼ cup shredded parmesan and ¼ cup cheddar cheese to the top and bake for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
If you want a crunchy topping melt 2 tablespoons of butter and mix with 1 cup of panko bread crumbs. Sprinkle the topping evenly atop the jalapeno popper mixture and back for 10 minutes.
